How to Capture Ideas
and Organise Tasks
Master your day with this clear & powerful routine
Your brain is for having ideas, not holding them. Most stress comes from unorganized thoughts and unfinished tasks cluttering your mind.
To get things done with ease and clarity, follow these simple steps:
-
Capture all your tasks and ideas—on paper or in a tool. Getting them out of your head clears mental clutter and gives you a plan you can actually see. Then ask: Is it actionable? If yes, make a list. If not, trash it, file it, or save for later.
-
Organise
Put your tasks in order based on when and how they need to get done. If something has to happen at a certain time or date, add it to your calendar—and make sure to follow through.
TO DO LIST
If someone else is responsible, assign it and move it to your “Waiting For” list.
WAITING FOR ________ LIST
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?
WHAT IS THE TASK?
WHEN TO FOLLOW UP?
Next Actions List: Tasks you can do anytime without a fixed schedule.
Maintain two lists:
i. Do Next List – For the earliest free time
ii. Do Later List – For when you have extra energy
Pick from these anytime to stay productive.
DO NEXT LIST
DO LATER LIST
GOLDEN 2 MINUTE RULE
From your 'Do Next' list, star the tasks that take less than 2 minutes—and do them immediately. It’s faster than tracking and coming back to them later.
Master this simple system to stay organized, reduce stress, and always know what to do next—without feeling overwhelmed.
